WSUS 3.0 SP1 is released, but it’s not supported on SCE RTM February 11, 2008

Last week Microsoft released WSUS 3.0 SP1. The service pack adds both new features and fixes:
· Support for Windows Server 2008 (Integration with Server Manager as an out-of-band role)
· Support for Microsoft SQL Server 2008
· Enhanced bulk approval capability, preserving existing approvals
· Support for separate proxy servers and ports for SSL and non SSL traffic
· Better performance
· Detailed computer reports that can be imported to Excel
Note! This service pack is not supported to be installed on SCE servers – SCE SP1 will include WSUS 3 SP1.
System Center Capacity Planner 2007 is released February 4, 2008

The new version of System Center Capacity planner is now released, and it’s a free dowload. New feature in this release are:
*Application model for Exchange Server 2007
*Extensibility with new models from Microsoft, including Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. A model for System Center Operations Manager 2007 will be available soon.
*New, more powerful deployment wizards deliver unprecedented ease of use
*Support for 64-bit processor architectures
*Comprehensive reporting of disk IO and storage utilizations
*Increased flexibility in customizing server usage profiles
